ACJA, which stands for Aerial Connectivity Joint Exercise, is a collaboration initiative between GUTMA and the GSMA. ACJA focuses on selling interchange and understanding between the aviation and mobile communities, the aim being to boost data sharing and keep away from incompatibilities between these teams.
There’s nice curiosity from each the aviation and mobile communities in aerial mobile. Nevertheless, until now the 2 communities have principally investigated the subject independently, resulting in a misalignment of understanding, expectations, priorities, and requirements.
ACJA was shaped to make tangible progress in the direction of addressing this misalignment by a number of initiatives:
The creation of a platform for the related stakeholders from aviation and cellular industries to share their respective views;Educating stakeholders on all of the related requirements, ensuring the contributors to Commonplace Growth Organizations (SDO) in every subject are aligned with time period of understanding capabilities, and wishes of the opposite communities;Figuring out potential synergies between the completely different SDO’s that would profit using mobile networks in UTM, UAS and manned aviation.
What AJCA endeavours to do:
Facilitate communication between the 2 communities;Implement a stronger alignment of the SDOs (Commonplace Growth Group) from the 2 communities;Search mutually acceptable architectures, interfaces, and strategies and promote interoperability.
